That's what my stupid nephew, Sam, was doing....driving his Expedition from N. Andover to buy crack from some Puerto Rican dope dealers.

I do feel bad for the children, part of it is the fathers fault which he is a big loser his name is John Bouraphael, But most of all it is Melody's problem she's been in trouble with the law for 10 years now. She needs to grow up and start acting like a mature responsible mother so that when her kids do get older they wont be all messed up, BUt anyhow Melody is definitly at fault in this case open container of rum, prescription dugs, and leaving the scene of an accident. Grandma please take these kids and dont give them back until she realizes that she can be trusted and a MOM!!!

Such a beautiful name for such a rotten person. Rosie, believe it or not there are Latinos working in the health care department. Sorry that I have to be the one to inform you on that. I heard there's a Nazi Lowrider initiation a few weeks from now, maybe you would like to be in attendance? @ Danversgirl, you are right. At the Holy Family, there were more Latinos than Whites ... not because there are more Latinos in the area than white but because we have more mental difficulties. :-X

dix I'm truly sorry you came from that background. Its harder than anyone who hasnt lived it knows, I'm sure. Im not blaming someone for being on welfare. It was meant as a temporary measure to assist people to get on their feet. it was NOT meant to be a way of life for generations of families. I wish you the best of success in your efforts. The "latinos" (im REALLY trying to be politically correct here NOT) have "nervous conditions" that make them unable to work, That gets them SSDI, SSI, I believe is for those that WORKED anfand got disabled. Nervous theyre going to get caught perhaps.Danvers girl is correct. Lowell Detox is 90 % latinos and the detox is 98% opiates. Holy Family, both St Mikes and St Ds are 68% "latinos" Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, all 5 of them serves 95% Latinos; The Lawrence food pantries serve 90$ Latinos. This stuff isn't made up. You are correct, I am stooping down to their level when I make such comments. I actually love everyone alike. I don't care what color or where you are from, if you are cool with me then I am cool with you. I also stated in one of my comments that I had two white mentors growing up, one from Andover and one from Manchester and they both helped me tons. I am not racist and I do not hate Caucasians at all. I do hate racists though. I do hate people that think their race is superior to others and nothing is wrong within it. No country, no race is perfect--everyone has their flaws. This is our flaw. The thing is, most of the people that are acting wild are Latinos that grew up here. (Speaking on Puerto Ricans). Therefore, they are not straight out of Puerto Rico. Example: my brother lives in Tampa and he explained to me that many "Nuyoricans" that grew up in N.Y are moving to Orlando and now it is being infested by crime. They grew up in NY. Everything they learned was in NY and most of them speak broken Spanish. It's funny when someone says, "Another Latino on the paper". Hello! We are in Lawrence. Lawrence is pretty much a Latino community. Many Mexicans and Guatemalans are starting to move in to Lawrence. Let's see what they bring to the table. Hopefully it's something positive. I agree with you though. See, I can definitely admit my mistakes but some people here have egos three times bigger than them.

Thank you my mother is the reason I have become a successful and proud Hispanic man. Things in my former hometown will one day change maybe not in our lifetime but I hope they will. I regret to say that I would never raise children in Lawrence and every time I’m asked where I'm from I proudly say Lawrence and I get looks like but you’re not a drug dealer and you don't live in the projects. Not all that are from the city or that live in the city should be labeled by the stereotypical views that those that live outside of Lawrence have on its residents. There are many hard working families (Hispanic, White and Black) that live with in the city. So please I just ask of those that make such broad labeling of a certain culture based on what you read in a paper to first think about what the point is you want to make and second how would you feel if the stereotypical comments where being made about your culture.

Very well said. You must be very proud of your mother. She did a great job keeping you grounded and focused. If you love this country and want to be here to make it a better place then by all means welcome, but if you disregard us and our flag then please leave. First good morning to all. I'll keep it short because I'm at work. I no longer live in the area but my mother lives in the area and I read the local paper daily to see how things are. I'm a young successful Hispanic male. I attended college and have my own financial investment practice in southern Florida. I grew up in a single parent household and my mother was never on drugs she never took government assistance and we never lived in the projects. I rather disgusted by the comment from both sides of the argument. In this day and age we still haven't come together as AMERICANS as we did when 9-11 happened. What the women did was wrong and she should and has to pay the price for making such a careless decision and lets leave it at that. The racist comments should be kept to yourselves and hopefully not passed on to your children and grandchildren. So to all good day.

You're going to hate the news coming out today about YOUR PEOPLE. I guess just a couple more "isolated cases". Norrmally I would not give you a hard time, but I'm sick of your spewing off and using the "YOUR PEOPLE" crap. You are way up on the list of people that I care to listen too, while some of the racists you argue with are at the bottom. I don't expect you to care where you fall on my list of repected opinions, but really, what's the deal? Do you hate Caucasians as much as some of these people hate Hispanics? It's really OK if you do, that's your choice, but if not then your arguments are wearing thin. I can start making ridiculous generalizations too. How about; The majority of school massacres are done by white kids because all the latinos already dropped out. How about; All the drug dealers are Latino because YOUR PEOPLE were raised in countries were it was acceptable to grow and sell crops of weed, cocaine, etc. so it is just naturally engrained into the culture. Those comments are ridiculous, although I could argue there is some logic in there, just like you about your ridiculous blanket statements. It's all a load of crap, it just comes down to grasping at insults to try and deflect ones thrown your way. There's a lot of people, including me, going off on all sorts of tangents and spewing opinions, I don't think it is "evil" of the Trib to allow like some posters who are easily outraged, it is good old airing of opinions (and insults) that we can pick and choose to engage in or not. I'm down with some of what you're saying, but my opinion is you're devolving to match the level of some of the ideas you are oppossed to.
