While the average worker does receive above average pay and benefits why should they be penalized to take pay cuts for poor judgments made at the top of the company including giving the unions contracts that the company could not afford. Taking away much of the obscene pay rates, perks and bonuses that the top execs enjoy would enough to keep the pay rate of the average worker where it is now as this money will be spent and benefit our economy rather than being put in some rich executives bank account to leave to his heirs.
