This guy should not be on the school committee or any other position in our city. He has shown that he does not respect the voters of the city by playing a political GAME with this election. One night he's resigining, now he's not because HIS FRIEND MAY NOT get his seat.
Here's what we should do. Start a recall petition to remove him from office.
HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF METHUEN ARTICLE 8 Section 8-6 Recall Petitions (a) Who Can be Recalled - The holder of any elective City office may be recalled therefrom by the voters as herein provided. (b) Recall Petition - Any one hundred fifty voters may file with the City Clerk an affidavit containing the name of the officer sought to be recalled and a statement of the grounds for the recall. The City Clerk shall thereupon deliver to said voters making the affidavit copies of petition blanks demanding such recall printed forms of which he shall keep available. The blanks shall be issued by the City Clerk with his signature and the official seal attached hereto. They shall be dated, shall be addressed to the City Council and shall contain the names of all persons to whom they are issued, the name of the person whose recall is sought, the grounds of recall as stated in the affidavit and shall demand the election of a successor in the said office. A copy of the petition shall be entered in a record book to be kept in the office of the City Clerk. The recall petition shall be returned and filed with the City Clerk within sixty days after the filing of the affidavit, and shall have been signed by at least fifty per cent of the number of voters of the City who have voted in the last preceding local election, or in the case of a district councilman, of the district, who shall add to their signatures the street and number, if any, of their residences. The City Clerk shall within twenty-four hours of receipt submit the petition to the registrars of voters and the registrars shall forthwith certify thereon the number of signatures which are names of voters.
c) City Council's Action on Receiving Petition - If the petition shall be found and certified by the City Clerk to be sufficient, he shall submit the same with his certificate to the City Council without delay, and the City Council shall forthwith give written notice of the receipt of the certificate to the officer sought to be recalled and shall, if the officer does not resign within five days thereafter, order an election to be held on a date fixed by them not less than forty�five nor more than sixty days after the date of the City Clerk's certificate that a sufficient petition is filed; provided, however, that if any other City election is to occur within sixty days after the date of the certificate, the city council shall postpone the holding of the recall election to the date of such other election. If a vacancy occurs in said office after a recall election has been ordered, the election shall nevertheless proceed as provided in this section.

Dear Tax Payers of Methuen: I'm writing you today because of this Man, Mr Henrick. As a Methuen tax payer I can not imagine what this man is doing. The Voters in Methuen made a point to vote 1 of the rubber stamps out of office. Whittens 3 votes, are now 2. Hopefully they would be 1. Mr Henrick just slapped ever person in Methuen in the face. This is not a game Kenny!! I bet if that was Bob, Evan or Barbara you would not be given your seat up, and there in it for the right reason, unlike you. But we all know the real reason why you wanted to give your seat up, just the same way over at the Voke, because you have no power anymore. Once George was outstead you have nothing left. In my opinion, he gave up that right when he "RESIGNED" on Tuesday night because he is in his TWILIGHT. Amazing he didn't notice that PRIOR to the election.
Now we see that this was nothing but some sort of political game he was playing. If my "buddy" can't get my seat, I am not resigning. He doesn't deserve to be on the SC.
