Why the heck did they keep the road blocked for 6 hours when it was a single car accident with the driver at fault? That was ridiculous...they impacted a major travel route and inconvenienced alot of people. They need to get with the program and work to clear roadways as quickly as possible. Everybody knows the guy was driving recklessly and speeding and lost control of his car. You didn't need 6 hours to figure that out.

Wow are some of you people so heartless and miserable that you need to down a person who just lost their life? Instead of hiding behind some message forum post your real name and address and see how far your wise comments get you. Mistakes are made and no doubt Ace paid the highest cost for his.

I was at his wake and funeral and it was amazing to see so many people from all walks of life come together. We only live this life once and tomorrow is never guaranteed not even for the most cautious people.

I didn't know him personally but I know enough to say he was an honorable man at the very least. He was loved by so many and its sad to say that it was never completely known until now. It's a shame what this family has to put up with every day and this is just another example of how cruel and ignorant so many people are. Ignorance is defined as the lack of education and knowledge. Those who are so quick to stereotype are the epitome of that word.

God is the final judge and he will distinguish the good from the bad...not us so keep that in mind.

My condolences to everyone!

This is directed to "Joe" who left the disgusting comment below. I cannot believe that you where worried about the flow of traffic or who was at fault and how they caused the accident. Did he deserve to lose his life??. A young man was killed and left behind a wife and small children. There are alot of car accidents were the driver is at fault, but it is a tragedy when they are killed, and you should show some respect for their loved ones. Are you perfect? I am sure your not. I can guarantee their are plenty of things that you have done in your life that have had a negative impact on others!!

Maybe you should look into finding alternate routes and have a backup plan for your travels in case an "accident" happens while you are on the same stretch of road. Isn't it terrible for you that the police had to investigate and remove a deceased person from a scene and hold "you" up!! People like you disgust me!! You should be ashamed of yourself!!

If you want to drive fast, take it to the track. I expect this from teenagers who think they are immortal, but not from 30-somethings with kids. What a freakin' idiot.

The only tragedy is his children will have to grow up without a father.

And to the guy above, no one is jealous of his corvette. Join one of the various sports car clubs (BMW CCA, PCA, SCCA) and take it to one of the local tracks (NHIS, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen).

He was my nephew and he was a good man with his whole life ahead of him, and one stupid decision he made shattered his family and took his life. I know if he could change the events of what happened he would. Hope that someone you love or yourself are involved in a motor vehicle accident and die! How would you like the nasty comments from assholes!! Also thousands of people die in motor vehicle accidents every day even if they don't do any thing to cause them!!!!!!

The purpose is not to denigrate this man or his family, but to deter other young men that might see the pictures and read the story and slow down rather than put their life and the lives of others at risk through excessive speeding, reckless driving, etc.

I apologize for calling him selfish. It was without a doubt a serious mistake and error in judgment that cost him his life. It is my supposition however that this was not his first indulgence of excessive speed/recklessness, but rather his last.

What if all you remember is your car wrecking looking down at your husband feeling his arms cold and then beening pulled out of the vehicle by another person?What could you do if thats all you could remember? My sisterinlaw did not leave her husband intentioally she loved her husband she was in such shock i mean SHOCK she cant remember much after.Imagine being her married for 15 years and being right there while your husband dies having all his blood all over you. Dont ask how she could just walk away until you experience first hand for yourself and then answear your own question. A man died. It wasn't suicide, therefore it was an accident. A lot of people are hurt by this. Those who aren't are being as critical as anyone else is when someone who meant nothing to them turns up dead.

I didn't trash the man who died...I only commented on the police keeping the road closed for 6 hours when there was only 1 car involved and they knew who was at fault and nobody else was going to be charged. I wasn;t thinking about his family posting and apologized for being so insensitive. Joe, This man was my nephew... I live in Florida... I'm here now to be w/ my family in our time of need... Before you post u should think what you are saying and how it will affect others.
This was a mans life, no matter what he did. I'm sorry u were hung up in traffic... but the Police were trying to determine what caused the accident.. they were doing what we " the tax payers " pay for! My nephew was a good father, a great husband and a good hearted man ! Those that only want to hurt our family without even knowing us are hatefull people and God will handle that.... what goes around , comes around !!

My brother inlaw Ace was and still is a wonderful person. There is no perperft people on or in this world. Everybody has accidents in there life and his accident took his own life. Do you think thats what he planned 7:30 in the morning or 7:00 am as he was getting ready to leave his home?NO! Do you think he would ever want to risk his life. He was a wonderful husband a wonderful son a wonderful brother a wonderful father that man was truly wonderful at anything he did.He loved life he knew had to enjoy life.It's a sad thing when people got so much hate in them to say such mean an evil stuff. He never planned for any of this to happen.He would never want to be away from his family. But the lord up above decided for him this time and there was no choice this time.His wife Michelle is a wonderful wife she loves her husband sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much I dont know how shes gonna be able to deal with all of this . But god left her for a reason and one day she'll find that reason out. What is a gypsy? I wonder does any one know the answear. I read in the dictionary a GYPSY is a person who travels its not a nationality so were do people get that gypsy is a nationality .The last i was told was my background was englisgh not gypsy. That's a dangerous stretch of road. There is an eye witness who says he was in the process of passing. It is a definite no passing zone with at various points limited sight lines. Which is why it is a no passing zone.

Now I'm not saying he "deserved" it. Driving like an ass should not be punishable by death. Loss of license for several years would do.

I think that the posters who say things to the effect like "he had it coming" mean something like it was nobody's fault but his own.

Think about the person he was trying to pass. That innocent driver was minding their own business and somebody comes up behind them like a bat out of hell and passes them on the left. That is very unnerving even for the best of drivers. The deceased was not only risking his own life, which is his perogative under most other circumstances, but was also risking the lives of at least one other person (the car he was trying to pass.) Perhaps in light of that his defenders can understand the justified anger at his behavior.

Wow are some of you people so heartless and miserable that you need to down a person who just lost their life? Instead of hiding behind some message forum post your real name and address and see how far your wise comments get you. Mistakes are made and no doubt Ace paid the highest cost for his.

I was at his wake and funeral and it was amazing to see so many people from all walks of life come together. We only live this life once and tomorrow is never guaranteed not even for the most cautious people.

I didn't know him personally but I know enough to say he was an honorable man to say the least. He was loved by so many and its sad to say that it was never completely known until now. It's a shame what this family has to put up with every day and this is just another example of how cruel and ignorant so many people are. Ignorance is defined as the lack of education and knowledge. Those who are so quick to stereotype are the epitome of that word. God is the final judge and he will distinguish the good from bad...not us so keep that in mind.
