The Eagle-Tribune: Battleground state: In tight election, NH could decide presidential race

  • ftp · 1 year ago
    Befor NH go's to the polls in November ask yourselves if you know where Obama stands on these issues....

    HOW IS OBAMA GOING TO IMPROVE EDUCATION, WHEN HE HASN'T DONE A DAMN THING FOR CHICAGO? HOW IS OBAMA GONNA HEAL THE RACIAL DIVIDE WHEN ALL HE DOES IS HYPOCRITICALLY DIVIDE OTHER PEOPLE? HOW IS HE GOING TO LEAD THE MILITARY WHEN HE HOLDS OPEN DISDAIN FOR IT AND THEY DON'T HAVE RESPECT FOR HIM? HOW DOES HE CARE ABOUT VETERANS AND FOREIGN POLICY WHEN HE HASN'T EVEN SHOWN UP TO HIS OWN COMMITTEES AND WON'T EVEN ADMIT THAT IRAN OR SYRIA ARE THREATS? HOW IS HE GOING TO STOP VIOLENCE IN THE MIDDLE EAST WHEN HIS CITY HAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST MURDER RATES IN THE COUNTRY, 126 GUN MURDERS SINCE MEMORIAL DAY? HOW IS OBAMA GOING TO STOP GANG VIOLENCE WHEEN HE VOTED AGAINST THE DEATH PENALTY FOR GANG MURDERERS BC HE SAID IT "UNFAIRLY TARGETS BLACK MEN?" HOW IS HE GONNA "IMPLEMENT CHANGE" WHEN HIS VP NOMINEE HAS BEEN IN CONGRESS SINCE 1972 AND HAS NO NEW IDEAS? WHAT NEW POLICIES DOES OBAMA HAVE THAT ARE GONNA HELP THE INNER CITY COMMUNITIES THAT ARE SUFFERING FROM THE SAME "FAILED" POLICIES OF HANDOUTS AND IRRESPONSIBILITY? HOW ARE HIS ANTI-CAPITALIST, SOCIALISTIC, SAUL ALINSKY TACTICS GONNA HELP MAKE THIS COUNTRY STRONGER AND THE ECONOMY IMPROVE?

    So you want change"?well you have change and it cost us all here are Facts and Truth. Learn,and Know what you are voteing for and think real hard...No worries: Our Congress is looking out for us.
    (NOT)

    TO ALL MY FRIENDS....LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE...FYI only.

    George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.

    A little over one year ago:
    1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
    2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.
    19 a gallon;
    3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.

    4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
    5) American's were buying new cars,taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

    But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right.
    In the PAST YEAR:

    1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
    2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
    3) Unemployment is up to 5.
    5% (a 10% increase);
    4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION
    DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
    5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

    6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~
    $2.
    5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT
    PORTFOLIOS!

    YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT! ....

    REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS.

    AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

    NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT CLAIMS HE IS GOING TO REALLY GIVE US CHANGE ALONG WITH A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!!!!

    JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND???

    DO YOU WANT A REPEAT OF THE LAST 8 YRS.
    PRES. CLINTON ONCE SAID 'WHEN PEOPLE THINK--WE WIN
    ALL YOU OLDER AMERICANS, OF WHICH I AM ONE, THIS IS NOT ABOUT US THIS IS ABOUT OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.
    GROWING UP IN YOUR AREA I SAW PEOPLE THAT WERE BASICALLY GOOD PEOPLE BUT LACKED VISION.
    LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE PLEASE. LET GO OF YOUR PURITANICAL VIEWS AND YOUR PREJUDICES AND BE WILLING TO GIVE HOPE TO OUR COUNTRY.

    To make every vote in every state politically relevant and equal in presidential elections, support the National Popular Vote bill.

    The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states (and DC). The bill would take effect only when enacted by states possessing a majority of the electoral votes (270 of 538). When the bill comes into effect, all the electoral votes from those states would be awarded to the presidential candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states (and DC).

    The National Popular Vote bill has been approved by 21 legislative chambers (one house in CO, AR, ME, NC, and WA, and two houses in MD, IL, HI, CA, MA, NJ, RI, and VT). It has been enacted into law in Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, and Maryland. These states have 50 (19%) of the 270 electoral votes needed to bring this legislation into effect.

    Too bad all the liberals from Mass have moved to NH and are trying to make us a liberal state. If it was so great, then why did they move here in the first place. Go back to your corrupt Mass, and give us our state back! As for the comment from Elaine Black, i'm not voting for Obama because he's a communist. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Get educated. If you work for a living and pay taxes, why would anyone vote for Obama????
  • J · 1 year ago
    If you work for a living and pay taxes--you'll pay LESS with Obama's tax plan than with McCain's.
    That is the TRUTH.
